Ingredients
3 Cups Ripe Mango, chopped
3/4 Cup Raw Mango, chopped
3/4 Cup Sugar or add as needed
8 Cups Water
Directions
- In a wide sauce pan add chopped ripe mangoes, chopped raw mango, sugar, 3 cups of water & place it on a medium-high flame.
- Cover with a lid & boil for 10 minutes or until mangoes soften.
- Turn off the flame & allow it to cool at room temperature.
- Using a strainer strain the sugar syrup & add softened mangoes to a blender jar.
- Blend into a smooth puree & strain it using a strainer.
- Transfer the mango puree to a mixing bowl & add strained sugar syrup, 5 glasses of water.
- Mix everything well & cover with a lid.
- Refrigerate until it is chilled & serve.
Note:
- Stays fresh for 1-2 weeks when refrigerated.
- If the frooti is too thick add extra cup of water.
