Mango Frooti

Ingredients

3 Cups Ripe Mango, chopped
3/4 Cup Raw Mango, chopped
3/4 Cup Sugar or add as needed
8 Cups Water


Directions

  • In a wide sauce pan add chopped ripe mangoes, chopped raw mango, sugar, 3 cups of water & place it on a medium-high flame.
  • Cover with a lid & boil for 10 minutes or until mangoes soften. 
  • Turn off the flame & allow it to cool at room temperature.
  • Using a strainer strain the sugar syrup & add softened mangoes to a blender jar. 
  • Reserve the strained sugar syrup for later use.
  • Blend into a smooth puree & strain it using a strainer. 
  • Transfer the mango puree to a mixing bowl & add strained sugar syrup, 5 glasses of water. 
  • Mix everything well & cover with a lid.
  • Refrigerate until it is chilled & serve.
Note
  • Stays fresh for 1-2 weeks when refrigerated.
  • If the frooti is too thick add extra cup of water.
