Veggie Penne Pasta

Ingredients

1 Cup Whole Wheat Penne Pasta
1/2 Tspn Pepper Powder
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
1/2 Cup Milk
1/4 Cup Baby Bella Mushrooms, chopped
3-4 thin asparagus, edges trimmed
1 Tblspn All Purpose Flour
1/2 Tspn Dried Oregano Leaves
2 Tblspn Butter/Olive Oil
2 Tblspn Parmesan Cheese, grated
Salt to Taste

Directions
  1. Bring water to a boil in a pot on a medium-high flame, add little salt. Now add penne pasta & let it cook till it is done (Note: Cook pasta according to the directions on the package). Turn off the flame. 
  2. Drain the pasta in a strainer & rinse it with cold running water. Keep it aside.
  3. To a half cup of milk add all purpose flour & combine well. Keep it aside.
  4. Heat butter in a pan on medium flame, add minced garlic & saute for 1 minute.
  5. Now add chopped mushrooms, asparagus & saute it for 8-10 minutes or cook until mushrooms are tender. 
  6. Add pepper powder, salt, dried oregano leaves & pour in the milk mixture. Saute for 3-4 minutes (if the sauce becomes too thick, add 1-2 tablespoon water), now add penne pasta & saute for another 2-3 minutes. Turn off the flame
  7. Garnish with parmesan cheese & serve immediately.
