Directions
For Poori
- In a bowl; combine wheat flour, water & salt to make a dough. Drizzle oil on top to coat the dough & knead to a smooth ball.
- Cover with a damp cloth & let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a kadai/sauce pan on a medium flame for frying pooris.
- Place the dough on a well floured surface & make equal size balls( yields 12 to 14 pooris) from the dough. Take one dough ball & flatten it using your palm.
- Using a rolling pin roll each dough into a circular shaped poori. Thickness of the poori must be medium thick it shouldn't be too thick or thin.
- Once oil is hot enough add one poori at a time & fry gently by pressing down with a strainer ladle. This helps the poori to puff well.
- Once poori puffs turn it carefully & fry on other side until golden & crisp. Remove poori using a strainer ladle & place it in a bowl lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
For Mango Juice
- In a blender, combine all ingredients; cover & process until blended. Tranfer it to a bowl.
- Serve Poori with mango juice.
