Pinwheels With Mashed Potato & Cheese

Ingredients

1 Sheet of Puff Pastry
2 Medium Sized Potatoes; boil, peel & mash
3 Tblspn Cheddar Cheese, grated (optional)
Salt to Taste
1/4 Tspn Garlic Powder(optional)
1/2 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
1/2 Tspn Chaat Masala Powder


Directions
  • Preheat oven to 400F(204C). Line your baking tray with a sheet of aluminium foil coated with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, add mashed potatoes, red chilli powder, salt, chaat masala powder & mix everything well. Keep aside.
  • On a floured surface, place the thawed puff pastry sheet, then with a rolling pin roll it into a rectangle shape. Spread mashed potato mixture, leaving a 1/2 inch border on all sides. 
  • Sprikle with cheddar cheese.
  • Starting at the long edge, roll the puff pastry into a log. 
  • Trim the ends so that they are even, carefully cut into 1 inch wide slices( you will get 10 rolls). 
  • Arrange the rolls on the baking tray.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden or crispy & remove the baking tray from oven.
  • Serve warm.
