25-30 Almonds/Badam
2.5 Cups + 1/4 Cup Whole Milk (Full Fat)
4-5 Tblspn Sugar or add as needed
1/8 Tspn Green Cardamom Powder
1 Cup Hot Water
Directions
- Soak almonds in hot water for 30 minutes & drain.
- After 30 minutes; remove the skin of almonds & add to a mixie jar. Blend into a smooth paste by adding 1/4th of cup milk.
- Add prepared almond paste, milk in a sauce pan & mix everything well. Let it come to a boil on medium-low flame by stirring occasionally.
- Once it comes to a boil add cardamom powder, sugar & mix everything well. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes & turn off the flame.
- Serve hot or chilled (let it cool at room temperature before refrigerating for 2 hours).
Note: 2-3 minutes before turning off the flame; you can also add pinch of kesar by mixing in 2 tablespoons of warm milk.
