Mint Buttermilk/Pudina Cha

Ingredients

1 Small Sized Beetroot
1 Cup Yogurt (Curd)
2 Cups Water
1/2 Inch Ginger. peeled 
2 Tblspn Mint Leaves (Pudina)
3/4 Tspn Cumin(Jeera) Powder
Salt as needed

Directions
  • Boil beetroot in a sauce pan with enough water on medium flame until it turns soft. 
  • Turn off the flame & allow it to cool at room temperature.
  • Drain water completely, peel & chop beetroot into small pieces.
  • To a blender jar; add boiled beetroot pieces, ginger, cumin powder & mint leaves
  • Cover & process until blended. 
  • Now add 1/2 cup water & blend again.
  • Using a strainer, strain the beetroot juice into a bowl & with the help of a spoon extract the juice completely.
  • Add yogurt, salt, 1 1/2 cup water & whisk until everything is combined well.
  • Pour into serving glasses; serve immediately.
Note: For chilled buttermilk add ice cubes.
