Palli Laddu/Peanut Laddu

Ingredients

3/4 Cup Peanuts/Palli
3/4 Cup Jaggery(Bellam), small cubes or grated
1/4 Cup Water
1 Tspn Ghee/Clarified Butter

Directions
  • Heat a pan & dry roast the peanuts on a low flame by stirring continuously for 3-5 minutes. Transfer them to a plate & let it cool at room temperature. 
  • Remove the skin of the peanuts & keep aside.
  • In a wide pan add water, jaggery & boil till it reaches one string consistency on a low flame by stirring occasionally.

  • Turn off the flame & add roasted peanut. Mix everything well with a spatula & once the mixture is warm enough to handle (if the mixture completely cools down you cannot make laddus out of it) apply ghee on your palms.
  • Take a small amount of mixture in your hand & make a round shaped laddu (yields 8-12 laddus). Serve.
Note: Store it in an airtight container & stays fresh for 20 days at room temperature.
