Homemade Chocolate Syrup

Ingredients

1 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/4 Tspn Salt
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
1 Tspn Vanilla Extract

Directions
  • In a sauce pan add cocoa powder, water & whisk together until combined without any lumps. Place the sauce pan on a medium-low flame & whisk to dissolve the cocoa. Add suagr & whisk until dissolved completely.
  • Bring it to a boil & boil for 3-4 minutes until mixture lightly thickens by stirring continuously.
  • Turn off the flame & keep aside. Add vanilla extract, salt & stir.
  • Let it cool at room temperature (once its cooled, mixture thickens to a syrup like consistency) & store it in an airtight glass container. Stays fresh for a month when refrigerated.
