Ingredients
1/2 Cup Mixed Vegetables (chopped french beans, green peas)
1/2 Cup Carrots, chopped
1 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
Salt to Taste
1/2 Tspn Garlic Powder
2 Tblspn Maida/Refined Wheat Flour
3 Tblspn Water
1 Tspn Black Pepper Powder
2 Tblspn Butter
1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese, grated or cut into small cubes
2 Cups Water or Vegetable Stock
2 Cups Whole Milk
Directions
- In a small bowl; add all purpose flour, 3 tablespoons water & mix well to form a smooth paste. Keep aside.
- Heat butter in a sauce pan on medium flame; add chopped onion, chopped veggies(you can also add veggies of your choice like broccoli florets, sliced mushrooms) & saute them for 3-5 minutes.
- Add water or vegetable stock & let it come to a boil. Add salt, pepper powder, garlic powder & mix everything well.
- Add all purpose flour paste by stirring continuously so that lumps are not formed & add milk.
- Boil for another 8-10 minutes or until mixture turns thick & add cheddar cheese cubes.
- Mix everything well & cook for another 2-3 minutes. Turn off the flame.
- Serve hot.
