Ragi Laddu/Finger Millet Laddu

Ingredients

1 Cup Ragi Flour/Finger Millet Flour
4 Tblspn Ghee/Clarified Butter
1/8 Tspn Cardamom(Ellachi) Powder
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar

Directions
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a wide pan on low flame & add ragi flour. Roast for 8-10 minutes or until nice aroma comes by stirring continuously.
  • Transfer to a bowl & when the mixture is warm enough to handle; add sugar powder, cardamom powder. 
  • Mix everything well until sugar is completely incorporated & add remaining ghee. Mix everything well. 
  • Take a small amount of mixture in your hand & make a round shaped laddu (yields 8-10 laddus). If you are not able to form laddus, then add few teaspoons of more ghee to the mixture & mix.
  • Serve.

Note:
  • Store it in an airtight container & stays fresh for a week at room temperature.
  • You can also make laddus using 1/2 cup grated jaggery instead of sugar by following same steps.
