Neer Dosa

Ingredients

1 Cup Regular Rice (i used sona masuri)
Salt to Taste
Water as needed
Oil as needed

Directions
  • Soak rice in enough water for 5 hours or overnight & drain water completely.
  • Add soaked rice to a mixie jar & grind into a smooth batter by adding little (approx 1/4th cup) water.
  • In a mixing bowl add prepared batter, salt, water as needed & combine everything well. Batter must be thin flowing consistency. 
  • Heat nonstick pan/cast iron pan on a medium flame, apply 1/4 teaspoon oil on the pan & spread it evenly with a spatula. 
  • Pour a ladle full of batter from the edges towards the center & cover with a lid. 
  • Cook till the neer dosa is done (make sure not to brown it or flip the dosa). Pass the spatula under it to ease the neer dosa off the pan, fold & transfer to a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  • Serve neer dosa with peanut chutney or coconut chutney or ginger chutney or onion chutney.
