Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

8 Red Tomatoes, remove the eye & cut into halves
6-8 Garlic Cloves
1 Small Sized Onion, finely chopped
1 Tspn Dried Basil 
1 Tspn Dried Oregano
2 Tblspn Tomato Ketchup or Tomato Puree (i used ketchup)
3/4 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
Salt to Taste
1/2 Tspn Sugar
1 Tspn Red Chilli Flakes
1 Tblspn Oil/Butter

Directions
  • Heat butter in a sauce pan on a medium flame; add garlic cloves, chopped onion & saute for a minute.
  • Add red chilli flakes, dried oregano, basil & mix everything well. Saute for a minute.
  • Now add tomatoes, salt & mix. 
  • Cover with a lid & cook for 8-10 minutes or until tomatoes turn soft & mushy by stirring occasionally.
  • Add red chilli powder, sugar, tomato ketchup & mix everything well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes & turn off the flame. Keep aside.
  • Allow it to cool at room temperature & add it to a mixie jar. Grind into a smooth paste & store it in an air tight container.
  • Use in your favourite pizza recipe.
Note: Stays fresh for 20 days when refrigerated. Whenever using this pizza sauce mix in little water & use it.
