Simple Egg & Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

1 Egg
2 White or Wheat Bread Slices (i used wheat bread)
2 Swiss Cheese Slices (you can also use your choice of cheese)
Salt to Taste
1/8 Tspn Black Pepper Powder or Red Chilli Powder (i used red chilli powder)
1 Tspn Oil
1 Tspn Butter

Directions
  • Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan on medium flame; gently crack egg into pan. Sprinkle red chilli powder or pepper powder, salt & cook until egg is cooked on both sides. Turn off the flame & keep aside.
  • Heat a tawa on medium-low flame; spread butter on tawa with a spatula or apply on top of each bread slice & place them on tawa.
  • Toast the bread on one side until golden brown & crisp. Flip the bread with a spatula & place cheese slice on each bread. Toast other side as well until golden brown & turn off the flame.
  • Transfer toasted bread slices to a plate.
  • For assembling a sandwich; take a bread slice with cheese & place the cooked sunny upside egg on it as shown in the picture.
  • Cover it with another bread slice & serve immediately.
