2 Cups Murmura/Puffed Rice
3 Cups Water
1 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
1/4 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1/8 Tspn Turmeric Powder
2-3 Green Chillies, chopped
Salt to Taste
1/4 Tspn Cumin(Jeera) Seeds
1/4 Tspn Mustard(Avaalu) Seeds
Few Curry Leaves
1 Tblspn Roasted Chana Dal (Putnala Pappu)
1 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves
1 Tblspn Oil

Directions
- In a motar pestle add roasted chana dal & make into a fine powder. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a kadai or wide pan on a medium flame; add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies & saute for a minute. Now add chopped onion & saute until they turn translucent.
- Add gingergarlic paste, salt, turmeric powder & saute for a minute.
- Meanwhile add water in a bowl & soak puffed rice for 2 minutes.
- Finally add roasted chana dal powder & mix everything well.
- Turn off the flame & transfer to a plate.
- Garnish puffed rice upma with cilantro leaves & serve.
