Paneer Bread Rolls

Ingredients

For Stuffing

3/4 Cup Cottage Cheese/Paneer, grated
1/4 Cup Grated Carrot
1 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
Salt to Taste
3/4 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
3/4 Tspn Chaat Masala
1/4 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves
1 Tblspn Oil

For Paneer Bread Rolls

6-8 White Bread Slices, remove the crust
1/4 Cup Cheddar Cheese, grated (optional)
1 Tspn Butter/Oil, for brushing


Directions

For Stuffing
  • Heat oil in a pan on medium flame; add onion & fry until they turn translucent. 
  • Now add gingergarlic paste & saute for a minute.
  • Add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, chaat masala & saute for another minute. 
  • Add grated carrot & saute for 2 minutes.
  • Now add grated paneer, cilantro leaves & cook for 3-5 minutes by stirring occasionally. 
  • Turn off the flame & keep aside.
For Paneer Bread Rolls
  • Using a rolling pin roll each bread slice into a thin slice.
  • Place 1-2 tablespoon of paneer stuffing on each rolled bread slice & sprinkle some cheddar cheese.
  • Roll into a cylinder shape starting from one end & seal the edges by applying little water.
  • Preheat oven to 400F(204C) & line your baking tray with a sheet of aluminium foil coated with cooking spray. 
  • Arrange bread rolls on a greased baking tray & lightly brush with some butter on all the rolls.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown, turning once halfway. Transfer them to a plate.
  • Serve hot.
Note:
  • You can also shallow fry the paneer bread rolls in a tablespoon of oil for 10 minutes or until golden brown, turning once half way.
  • You can also replace paneer with boiled mashed potato & repeat the same directions.
