1 Cup Semolina(Rava/Sooji)
1 Small Sized Tomato, finely chopped
2 1/2 Cups Water
2-3 Green Chillies, chopped
1 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
1/2 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
Salt to Taste
1/2 Tspn Cumin(Jeera) Seeds
1/2 Tspn Mustard(Avaalu) Seeds
Few Curry Leaves (Karivepaku)
1/4 Cup Chopped Carrots
1 Tblspn Cilantro Leaves (Kothmir)
1 Tblspn Cashewnuts, broken
1/2 Tspn Chana Dal (Chanaga Pappu)
1 Tblspn Oil

Directions
- Heat oil in a kadai or wide pan on a medium flame; add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, chana dal & saute for a minute. Now add chopped onion, cashew nuts, chopped carrots & saute for another 2-3 minutes.
- Now add chopped tomatoes & mix. Cook until they turn soft & mushy.
- Add gingergarlic paste, salt & saute for a minute. Add water & let it come to a boil.
- Add semolina by stirring continuously.
- Cook for 5-8 minutes on a medium-low flame. Turn off the flame & transfer to a plate.
- Garnish rava upma with cilantro leaves & serve.
