Egg Bread Rolls

Ingredients

For Stuffing

3 Eggs
1 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
2 Tblspn Orange Bell Pepper, chopped (optional)
Salt to Taste
3/4 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
3/4 Tspn Chaat Masala
1/4 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves
1 Tblspn Oil

For Egg Bread Rolls

8-9 White Bread Slices, remove the crust
1/4 Cup Cheddar Cheese, grated (optional)
1 Tspn Butter/Oil, for brushing

Directions

For Stuffing
  • Whisk eggs in a bowl & keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan on medium flame; add onion, orange bell pepper & saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now add gingergarlic paste & saute for a second. Add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, chaat masala & saute for another minute. 
  • Now add whisked eggs & scramble lightly. Saute for 2-3 minutes or until eggs are cooked.
  • Turn off the flame & garnish with cilantro leaves. Keep aside.


For Egg Bread Rolls
  • Using a rolling pin roll each bread slice into a thin slice.
  • Place 1-2 tablespoon of egg stuffing on each rolled bread slice & sprinkle some cheddar cheese.
  • Roll into a cylinder shape starting from one end & seal the edges by applying little water.
  • Preheat oven to 400F(204C) & line your baking tray with a sheet of aluminium foil coated with cooking spray. 
  • Arrange bread rolls on a greased baking tray & lightly brush with some butter on all the rolls.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown, turning once halfway. Transfer them to a plate.
  • Serve with ranch dressing or tomato ketchup.
Note:
  • You can also shallow fry the egg bread rolls in a tablespoon of oil for 10 minutes or until golden brown, turning once half way.
  • You can also replace egg with chicken (cut into small pieces) & repeat the same directions.
