Directions
- Heat oil in a kadai or wide pan on a medium flame; add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, chana dal(optional) & saute for a minute.
- Now add chopped onion, mixed veggies & saute for another 3-5 minutes.
- Now add chopped tomatoes & mix. Cook until they turn soft & mushy.
- Add gingergarlic paste, salt & saute for a minute.
- Add cracked wheat & saute for 3-4 minutes on a medium-low flame.
- Add hot water by stirring continuously & cover with a lid. Cook on a medium flame for 5-8 minutes. Turn off the flame & transfer to a plate.
- Garnish cracked wheat upma with cilantro leaves & serve.
