Yield: 4 Methi Parathas

Ingredients

1/2 Cup Fenugreek Leaves(Methi)
1 Cup Wheat Flour(Atta)
1/4 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
1/8 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1/4 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
Salt to Taste
Water as needed
4 Tspn Oil

Directions
  • In a bowl; combine all the ingredients except oil to make a dough. Drizzle a teaspoon of oil on top to coat the dough & knead to a smooth ball.
  • Cover with a damp cloth & let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
  • Place the dough on a well floured surface & make 4 equal size balls from the dough. Take one dough ball & flatten it using your palm.
  • Using a rolling pin roll each dough into a 7-inch diameter circle on the floured surface as shown in the picture below.
  • Heat a tawa on medium high flame.
  • Place the paratha on heated tawa & once you see little bubbles, flip the paratha & drizzle some oil on top.
  • Flip again & drizzle some oil on the other side as well. Flip again & press with a spatula for a minute.
  • Transfer to a plate.
  • Serve methi paratha with mango pickle.
Note: You can also add 2 tablespoons of yogurt/curd to the wheat flour while kneading to reduce the bitterness of methi leaves.
