Ingredients
1 Cup Peanuts/Palli/Groundnuts
3-4 Garlic Cloves
Salt to Taste
1 Tblspn Dry Coconut Powder or Dry Coconut Pieces (optional)
8-10 Dry Red Chillies
1 Tblspn Cumin Seeds(Jeera)
2 Tblspn Coriander Seeds
1 Tblspn Chana Dal/Chanaga pappu
Few Curry Leaves
Directions
- Heat a pan & dry roast the peanuts on a low flame by stirring continuously for 3-5 minutes. Transfer them to a plate & let it cool at room temperature.
- Remove the skin of the peanuts & keep aside.
- Heat a tawa or pan on a low flame; add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, dry red chillies, chana dal & dry roast for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer them to a plate & keep aside.
- To the same pan add garlic cloves, curry leaves, dry coconut pieces & place it on a low flame. Dry roast for 2-3 minutes or until curry leaves turn crisp. Turn off the flame & transfer them to the same plate.
- Allow it to cool at room temperature & transfer to a mixie jar along with salt.
- Blend it into a fine powder & add roasted peanuts.
- Blend again into a coarse powder & transfer to a bowl.
Note: Store it in an airtight container & stays fresh for 3 months at normal room temperature.
