Patties With Leftover Rice & Cheese

Ingredients

1 Cup Cooked Rice, tightly packed
1 Medium Sized Potato; boil, peel & mash
1 Small Sized Onion, finely chopped
1/4 Cup Cheddar Cheese, grated (optional)
1/2 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
Salt to Taste
1/2 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1/2 Tspn Chaat Masala
1/4 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
2 Tblspn Gram Flour (Besan)
2 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves, chopped
Oil for Brushing


Directions
  • In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients & mix everything well with your hand as shown in the picture below.


  • Make patties using the rice mixture (patties should not be too thick or thin). 
  • Preheat the oven to 425F(218C) & line a baking tray with aluminium foil coated with cooking spray.
  • Arrange the patties on a baking tray as shown in the picture below & brush with some oil on top of each pattie.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown on both sides, turning once half way. Carefully remove the pan from oven & transfer them to a plate.
  • Serve rice patties with tomato ketchup or ranch.
Note:  You can also shallow fry the patties: 
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wide pan on medium flame; place rice patties in the pan & cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown, turning once halfway. 
  • Transfer them to a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
