Tandoori Prawn/Tandoori Shrimp

Ingredients

500 Grams Tiger Prawns/Shrimp, peeled & deveined (Tiger Shrimp preferred)
2 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
1/4 Tspn Turmeric Powder
1 1/2 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
2 Tspn Lemon Juice
2 Tblspn Thick Yogurt/Curd
1 Tspn Coriander(Dhania) Powder
1/2 Tspn Cumin Powder
1/2 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
1 Tblspn Oil

Directions
  • Wash shrimp under running water & drain. 
  • In a mixing bowl; add washed shrimp, all the remaining ingredients & combine everything well. 
  • Cover the bowl & place it in the refrigerator for atleast 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 425F(218C) & line a baking tray with aluminium foil coated with cooking spray.
  • Skewer marinated shrimp (you can also use toothpicks instead of skewers).
  • On a rack or a greased baking tray (lined with aluminum foil) arrange the shrimp skewers & brush with some oil. 
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until shrimp is cooked completely, turning once half way (for a light char on the shrimp broil on low for approx 3-5 minutes turning once halfway; before turning off the oven). Carefully remove the pan from oven & transfer them to a plate.
  • Serve immediately.
Note: Toothpicks should be placed in cold water for 10 minutes before using.
