Ingredients
150 Grams Cottage Cheese/Paneer, cut into 1 inch cubes
2 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
1 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
1/8 Tspn Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
1 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1/2 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
1/2 Tspn Coriander(Dhania) Powder
10 Almonds
5 Cashew Nuts
1/2 Cup Yogurt/Curd
3 Tblspn Butter/Oil
1/2 Cup + 1 Tblspn Water
Directions
- Whisk yogurt in a bowl & keep aside.
- Add almonds, cashew nuts with 1 tablespoon of water to a mixie jar & grind into a smooth paste. Keep aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan on medium flame, add paneer cubes & saute them for 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Transfer to a plate & keep aside.
- Heat another tablespoon butter in the same pan on a medium flame, add chopped onion & fry until they turn translucent.
- Add gingergarlic paste & saute for another minute. Now add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder & saute for a minute.
- Turn off the flame & let it cool at room temperature.
- Transfer the onion mixture into a mixie jar & grind into a smooth paste. Keep it aside.
- Heat remaining butter in the same pan on a medium flame; add onion paste, yogurt, water & bring it to a boil or cook until desired consistency of the gravy. Stir occasionally in between.
- Now add almond, cashew paste & mix well.
- Cook for 2 minutes & finally add paneer cubes. Mix everything well & turn off the flame.
- Serve with tandoori roti or garlic butter naan.
