1 Cup Tender Tamarind Leaves/Chinta Chiguru, tightly packed
1/4 Cup Green Raw Mango Pieces(Mamidikaya), chopped
1/4 Cup Chana Dal (Chanaga Pappu); soak in water for half an hour
Salt to Taste
2 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
1/8 Tspn Turmeric Powder
1/4 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1 Cup Water or add as needed

Directions
- Wash tender tamarind leaves under running water & drain.
- Heat oil in a sauce pan on a medium flame; add chopped onion & fry until they turn translucent.
- Add gingergarlic paste, turmeric powder & saute for a minute.
- Now add soaked chana dal(before adding chana dal drain water completely) & mix everything well.
- Saute for 2-3 minutes & add red chilli powder, salt.
- Mix everything well & add tender tamarind leaves by slightly crushing with your hand.
- Saute for 1-2 minutes & add chopped green raw mango pieces.
- Mix everything well & add water.
- Cover with a lid & cook for 12-15 minutes or until chana dal turns soft.
- Turn off the flame.
- Serve hot with rice or roti.
