Directions
- Peel off the onion skin & cut into thick rings as shown in the picture below.
- In a bowl combine all the ingredients (except oil & onion rings) to make a thick batter(not too thick or thin) without any lumps.
- Heat oil in a sauce pan/kadai on a medium flame & once oil is hot enough, dip each onion ring into the batter & drop them in oil.
- Fry them in small batches for 4-6 minutes or until golden brown & keep turning the capsicum rings with a strainer ladle while frying otherwise they get discoloured.
- Transfer them to a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve with tamarind or green chutney.
