Directions
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a sauce pan; add chopped green chillies, onion & fry until they turn translucent.
- Now add gingergarlic paste & saute for a minute. Add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric, garam masala powder, coriander powder, chaat masala powder & saute for another minute.
- Add sliced mushrooms & mix everything well. Add cilantro leaves & mix.
- Cover with a lid & cook for 10-12 minutes or until mushrooms turn soft. Turn off the flame & set aside to cool at room temperature.
- In a mixie jar; add mushroom mixture, crumbled paneer & grind into a smooth paste.
- Transfer to a mixing bowl & add mashed potato, roasted chana dal powder. Combine everything well.
- Make round & flat shaped patties out of mushroom mixture( yields 8-12 balls) & keep aside.
- Heat remaining oil in a wide pan on medium flame; place mushroom patties in pan & cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown, turning once halfway.
- Transfer them to a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve mushroom galouti with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
- Preheat the oven to 400F(204C) & line a baking tray with aluminium foil coated with cooking spray.
- Arrange the patties on a baking tray & brush with some oil on top of each pattie.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown on both sides, turning once half way. Carefully remove the pan from oven & transfer them to a plate.
