Ingredients

For Paneer Stuffing

150 Grams Cottage Cheese/Paneer (cubed into 1 inch pieces)
1 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
2 Medium Sized Tomatoes, chopped
Salt to Taste
1/4 Tspn Turmeric Powder
1/2 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
1/2 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1/2 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
1/2 Tspn Coriander(Dhania) Powder
2 Tblspn Water
1 Tblspn Cashew Paste
2 Tblspn Cilantro Leaves(Kothmir), chopped
2 Tblspn Butter/Oil

Assembling

Chapathis/Rotis
Paneer Stuffing
1 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
1 Tspn Chaat Masala Powder

Directions

For Paneer Stuffing
  • Add chopped tomatoes into a blender & blend into a puree. Keep aside.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan on medium-low flame, add paneer cubes & shallow fry them until the sides turn light brown. Transfer them to a plate & keep aside.
  • Heat remaining butter in the same pan on a medium flame, add chopped onion & fry until it turns translucent. 
  • Add gingergarlic paste & saute for a minute. Now add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder & saute for another minute. Add cilantro leaves & mix everything well.
  • Add pureed tomatoes & cook for 2-3 minutes. 
  • Add water, cashew paste & cook for another 2-3 minutes. 
  • Finally add fried paneer cubes & saute for another 2-3 minutes. Turn off the flame.

Assembling
  • Take one chapathi/roti & spoon the paneer mixture lengthwise on the center of the chapati. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala powder, chopped onion on paneer mixture & roll the chapathi/roti. 
  • Repeat the process with remaining chapathis.
  • Serve immediately.
Note
  • For cashew paste; soak 8-10 cahews in 1/4 cup warm water for 20 minutes & blend into a fine paste.
  • You can prepare chapathi & paneer stuffing in advance. Assemble them into wraps only when you are ready for serving.
