Paneer Tawa Masala

Ingredients

150 Grams Cottage Cheese/Paneer (cubed into 1/2 inch pieces)
1 Medium Sized Onion, chopped finely
1 Medium Sized Green Bell Pepper(Capsicum), finely chopped
2 Medium Sized Tomato, chopped
3/4 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
1/8 Tspn Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
1/4 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1/2 Tspn Coriander(Dhania) Powder
1/2 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
1/2 Tspn Chaat Masala or Pav Bhaji Masala (optional)
2 Tblspn Water
1/2 Tspn Kasuri Methi
1 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves
1 Tblspn Oil/Butter/Ghee

Directions
  • Heat butter on a tawa on medium flame, add onion & fry until they turn translucent. 
  • Add gingergarlic paste & saute for a minute. 
  • Add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, chaat masala or pav bhaji masala & saute for another minute. 
  • Add chopped bell pepper & saute for 3-4 minutes. 
  • Now add chopped tomato & cook until they turn soft & mushy. 
  • Add water & cook for another 1-2 minutes. Add paneer cubes & mix everything well. 
  • Cook for 2 more minutes & finally add kasuri methi. Mix everything well & cook for another minute. Turn off the flame & transfer to a serving bowl. Finally garnish with cilantro leaves.
  • Serve it with chapathi or tandoori roti or garlic butter naan.
