Brain Fry/Bheja Fry

Ingredients

2 Goat Brains
3/4 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
1/4 Tspn Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
1/2 Tspn Gingergarlic Paste
1/4 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
2 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves, chopped
2 Tblspn Oil
3-4 Cups Water

Directions
  • Heat water in a sauce pan on medium high flame & let it come to a boil. Turn off the flame & keep it aside.
  • Add brain pieces into the hot water (brain pieces should be completely immersed or you may add more hot water if you need to) & let it sit for 2-4 minutes. Drain water completely & keep aside. 
  • Heat oil in a kadai on a low flame, add brain pieces & cook for 2-4 minutes.
  • Add gingergarlic paste, turmeric powder into oil & sprinkle red chilli powder, salt, garam masala powder on top of brain pieces.
  • Gently toss to coat the masala & cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Finally add cilantro leaves & toss.
  • Turn off the flame.
  • Serve as a starter or with roti or as a side dish for rice.
