Directions
- In a bowl combine all the ingredients (except oil, onion & mint leaves) to make a thick batter(not too thick or thin) without any lumps.
- Add chopped onions, mint leaves & mix everything well.
- Heat oil in a sauce pan/kadai on a medium flame, once oil is hot enough place about 1-2 tablespoons of batter with your fingers into the oil or make small round dumplings & drop them in oil.
- Fry them in small batches for 4-6 minutes or until golden brown & keep turning the bajjis with a strainer ladle while frying otherwise they get discoloured.
- Transfer them to a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve with tamarind or green chutney.
