1/2 Kg Mutton bone-in, cut into medium sized pieces
1 Medium Sized Onion, finely chopped
250 Grams Taro Root/Chamagadda; wash, peel & cut into 2 halves
1 1/2 Tblspn Red Chilli Powder
1/2 Tspn Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
1 Tblspn Gingergarlic Paste
1/2 Lemon Sized Tamarind or add as needed, extract pulp
1 Tspn Coriander(Dhania) Powder
1 Tspn Dry Coconut Powder
1/4 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
2 Tblspn Mint(Pudina) Leaves, chopped
2 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves, chopped
1 1/2 Cup Water or add as needed

Directions
- Wash mutton pieces under running water. Keep aside to drain.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker on a medium flame, add onion & saute till golden brown.
- Add gingergarlic paste & saute for a minute. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, dry coconut powder, garam masala powder & saute for another minute.
- Now add the washed mutton, mint leaves, cilantro leaves & mix everything well. Cook for 5-10 minutes or until oil separates.
- Add taro root & mix everything well. Saute for a minute.
- Add tamarind extract, water (mutton pieces should be completely immersed or you may add more water if you need to) & close the cooker lid.
- Pressure cook for 5-7 whistles or until mutton turns soft; turn off the flame & let the pressure release naturally.
- Open the lid & transfer to a bowl.
- Serve hot with rice or roti or tandoori roti.
