Mutton Curry/Goat Curry

Ingredients

500 Grams Mutton, bone-in & cut into medium sized pieces
1 Large Sized Onion, chopped finely
1 Medium Sized Tomato, chopped
1 Tblspn Red Chilli Powder
2-3 Green Chillies, slit on one side (optional)
1/2 Tspn Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
1 Tblspn Gingergarlic Paste
1 Tspn Dry Coconut Powder
1 Tspn Coriander(Dhania) Powder
1/2 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
3 Tblspn Whisked Yogurt (Curd)
2 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves, chopped
1 Tblspn Mint Leaves (Pudina)
1 1/2 Cup Water or add as needed
2 Tblspn Oil

Directions
  • Wash mutton pieces under running water & keep aside to drain. 
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker on a medium flame, add onion, green chillies & saute till golden brown. 
  • Add gingergarlic paste & saute for a minute. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, garam masala powder, dry coconut powder & saute for another minute.
  • Now add the washed mutton, cilantro leaves, mint leaves & combine well. Cook for 5-10 minutes or until oil separates.
  • Add chopped tomato & mix everything well. 
  • Cook for another 3-5 minutes or until tomato turns soft. Add yogurt & mix everything well. 
  •  Now add water & close the cooker lid. 
  • Pressure cook for 6-7 whistles or until mutton turns soft. Turn off the flame & let the pressure release naturally.
