Mutton Bones Curry

Ingredients


500 Grams Mutton Bones
1 Large Sized Onion, thinly sliced
2 Medium Sized Tomatoes, chopped
1 Tblspn Red Chilli Powder
1/2 Tspn Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
1 Tblspn Gingergarlic Paste
1 Tspn Dry Coconut Powder
1 Tspn Coriander(Dhania) Powder
1/2 Tspn Garam Masala Powder
3 Tblspn Whisked Yogurt (Curd)
2 Tblspn Cilantro(Kothmir) Leaves, chopped
1 Tblspn Mint Leaves (Pudina)
1/2 Tspn Black Cumin Seeds(Shahjeera)
1 Small Cinnamon(Dalchini) Stick
1-2 Green Cardamom(Ellachi) Pods
1-2 Cloves(Lavang)
3-5 Black Peppercorns
1 1/2 Cup Water or add as needed
2 Tblspn Oil

Directions
  • Wash mutton bones under running water & keep aside to drain. 
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker on a medium flame; add cardamom pods, black peppercorns, cinnamon stick, cloves, black cumin seeds & saute for a minute.
  • Add onion & saute until they turn translucent.
  • Add gingergarlic paste & saute for a minute. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt & saute for another minute.
  • Now add the washed mutton bones, cilantro leaves, mint leaves & combine well. 
  • Cook for 5-10 minutes or until oil separates.
  • Add chopped tomatoes & mix everything well. 
  • Cook for another 3-5 minutes or until tomato turns soft. 
  • Add yogurt & mix everything well. 
  • Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, dry coconut powder & mix everything well.
  •  Now add water & close the cooker lid. 
  • Pressure cook for 7-9 whistles or until mutton bones are cooked. Turn off the flame & let the pressure release naturally.
